Residents and park users are being invited to share their views on the second phase of the Cannock Park Masterplan, which aims to shape the future of this much-loved green space.
The consultation follows the recent engagement on the design of the new play area and now expands to cover the entire park, including the golf course.
The proposed masterplan outlines a range of potential improvements to enhance the park’s facilities, accessibility, and overall visitor experience. As part of this process, the Council is keen to hear feedback from the local community to help refine and prioritise these improvements.
Councillor John Preece, Deputy Leader and Portfolio Leader for Parks, Culture and Heritage said: “Cannock Park is a valued green space for residents and visitors, and we are committed to ensuring its future development reflects the needs and aspirations of the community. This consultation is an opportunity for everyone to have their say on the proposed improvements and help shape the next phase of the masterplan.”
Residents can view the masterplan online and submit their feedback via the Council’s website. Plans are also on display in the foyer at Chase Leisure Centre. The consultation will run until Sunday 27 April 2025 and all responses will be considered before finalising the plans.
While funding for phase two of the masterplan has yet to be secured, the feedback received will play a crucial role in shaping potential investment opportunities and funding applications.
