Staffordshire County Council Elections - 1st May 2025

Guidance about standing as a local government election candidate is available on the Electoral Commission website and further information about the forthcoming Staffordshire County Council election is available on the County Council's website.

A briefing for candidates and agents for the County Council election has been scheduled to take place on Monday 10th March at 6pm in the Civic Centre, Beecroft Road, Cannock, WS11 1BG.

If you wish to attend the briefing please email MembersServices@cannockchasedc.gov.uk by no later than 3pm on Thursday 6th March to register your attendance.

We have published two new animated resources:
•    ‘completing your nomination papers’ (Opens in new window) provides an overview of the forms to be completed at a local government election
•    ‘home address form’ (Opens in new window) follows on from the main resource and focusses on the specific requirements of the home address form. This includes what candidates need to do to withhold their address from election material
