Cannock Chase Council have provided funding to supply 30 sets of flame redardant bedding to homes in the District.
The funding provided through the Council’s Community Safety Partnership, will ensure that vulnerable members of the community are as safe as possible in their homes.
The flame retardant bedding will be distributed by Staffordshire Fire and Rescue, within their prevent delivery, to the most vulnerable members of the community through their Extended Safe and Well Offer. Staffordshire Fire and Rescue are committed to providing equipment to members of the community to ensure they are as safe as possible with in their homes,
Duncan Rollo, Cannock Chase Council’s Community Safety and Vulnerability Officer said “The funding of this flame retardant bedding by Cannock Chase Council Community Safety Partnership supports the Prevention work of our partners at SFARS. This is another excellent example of multi- agency working to address concerns regarding vulnerable members of our community.”
Brad Robins, Community Safety Officer from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue added “The Funding from Cannock Chase Council has been much appreciated and will made a massive difference to people’s lives but also keeping them safe from fire”.
