Cannock Chase Council in conjunction with Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce is offering businesses in the District free training to help them prepare for Brexit
The free workshops will cover topics such as customs procedures, export documentation, duties and tariffs, customs compliance. It will help businesses that export regularly to prepare as far as possible for a ‘no deal scenario’ Brexit.
Councillor Tony Johnson, Portfolio Leader for Economic Development and Planning said: “In the current climate I see the importance of the Council helping our local businesses, and specifically by taking this action to run these free workshops for local businesses.
“It is important that businesses prepare for the implications of a ‘no deal scenario` Brexit for those companies that trade overseas.”
The workshops will take place on Wednesday 18 September from 10am-4pm at the Civic Centre in Cannock and on Wednesday 2 October from 10am-4pm at Rugeley Leisure Centre.
The workshops have been funded by Cannock Chase Council and you can reserve a place by calling 01782 202222 or booking online at www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/brexit-training-for-your-business-tickets-66878410125
