Consultation starts on Monday (6 November) for 6 weeks on draft documents which include proposals to preserve and enhance the character and appearance of Sheep Fair/Bow Street, Rugeley Conservation Area.
The Area is recognised as being of special architectural and historical interest and was designated as a Conservation Area in 2004.
Councillor Gordon Alcott, Portfolio Leader for Economic Development and Planning said “The Council has prepared proposals for consultation. The documents describe and appraise the area’s character and appearance, what matters and why. It also sets out the history and special features as well as recommendations for their enhancement and protection.”
The plan builds on the Council’s already adopted generic Conservation Areas Management Plan by setting out specific policies for Sheep Fair/Bow Street, based on recommendations in the Appraisal.
The public consultation will start on Monday 6 November for six weeks ending on Monday 18 December 2017.
