Over 50 trees sponsored by local businesses, schools, clubs, societies and charities
Councillor George Adamson will open the fifth annual St Luke’s Church Christmas Tree Festival on Wednesday evening 23 November at 7.30pm. The evening events will also include a variety of seasonal music performed by The Songbirds in Harmony Choir and The Cannock Chase High Performance Flute Ensemble as guests enjoy the magic of music by Christmas Tree lights.
A further musical evening is to be held on Friday when ,musi c is provided by the Church Choir and musicians, The Gentleshaw Handbell Ringers and Chris and Alan Eccleshall. Tickets for both events cost £5 and are available from the church office (01543 502131) and include a glass of mulled wine and mince pie.
The Festival is open to the public (entry free) from 10.30am – 4.30pm on Thursday 24, Friday 25 and Saturday 26 November and will feature over 50 Christmas Trees, decorated imaginatively, with colour and flair! There will be an opportunity to buy gifts at the various stalls and to enjoy light refreshments at the café inside the church and to see the alpine village and model railway with its Santa Express. Throughout Saturday there will be musical interludes provided by local children (choirs and soloists).
