Cannock’s Friday street market saw a home and garden special fair last week.

The Home and Garden Fair saw ten additional stalls to compliment the already thriving street market, which runs every Friday in the town centre.

Scores of people came out in the sun to see what the market had to offer.  The extra stalls included Charles Taylor Garden Furniture, who sells wooden crafted garden furniture and Art Box Ltd a new start up business, which sells cushions, prints and much more.

The regular stall holders were also present, including Ben’s Pickles, who won trader of the year at the recent market re-launch event and Centre Flowers, who have been trading in Cannock for over 20 years.

Councillor Diane Todd, Portfolio Leader for Town Centre Regeneration said “I was delighted to see so many people in the town centre.  It was a lovely sunny day and the Home and Garden Fair stalls really complimented the regulars on the street market.

The street market in Cannock is going from strength to strength and has not only increased the footfall in the town centre, but has brought vibrancy and buzz around the town every Friday.”

Ian Sandford, Skett’s Market Manager said “Sketts really enjoyed organising and taking part in this wonderful event. We had great feedback from Natasha Marie, who performed on the day.  It was a wonderful day and were glad that the customers of Cannock enjoyed it”.
