Cannock Chase Council has earmarked £100,000 to make environmental improvements to the District’s town centres and the wider District during 2016/17.

As part of the process the Council is asking residents for ideas on where they would like to see the money being spent to improve our District.  Suggestions so far include: car park resurfacing and signs; keeping benches and street furniture freshly painted; improving street name plates/general information signs and increasing planting.

Councillor Diane Todd, Portfolio Leader for Town Centre Regeneration said “Our town centres and other shopping areas are really important to us and we realise we need to invest in them.  We want to make them as attractive as possible for our residents and visitors, to encourage people to spent time in them and increase the potential for small businesses where possible.

We are asking residents for their input into what changes they would like to see made over the next 12 months and longer, to make our District a better place to live, work and visit.  We welcome all suggestions from residents, businesses and members of the public.”

Anyone with any suggestions should contact the Council via email on: customerservices@cannockchasedc.gov.uk
