Cannock Chase Council welcome recent changes to a local bus route in Norton Canes made in the New Year, in response to passenger requests.
From 3 January, Arriva service 3, between Cannock-Heath Hayes-Norton Canes-Brownhills-Walsall, has been diverted to operate via Jerome Road, between Walsall Road and Brownhills Road, Norton Canes, in order to serve Norton Canes Health Centre.
Councillor Gordon Alcott, Portfolio Leader for Economic Development and Planning said “I am pleased that Arriva have listened to residents in Norton Green Lane and made it easier for the public to access Norton Canes Health Centre. Many residents in the District do not have access to a car or at the times they want, so public transport is essential, particularly for access to essential services like health care.”
