Cannock based Goodfish Limited has secured a ‘Let’s Grow Programme’ grant funding to help grow their business and create one extra full time post.
Goodfish Limited, toolmakers and injection moulders have received a grant of £5,000. The grant will be used to purchase a new piece of machinery which will increase productivity and take the pressure off already overloaded machines.
The ‘Let’s Grow Programme’ is funded by Chase Community Partnership and is aimed at helping small to medium sized businesses in the Cannock Chase District to grow and expand.
Councillor Gordon Alcott, Economic Development and Planning Portfolio Leader said “Goodfish Limited have benefitted greatly from this successful programme. The grant they have received means that they will have the extra capacity to produce additional work at their premises in Cannock. This is a great example of what the programme can do for local businesses.”
Jamie Kerin, Financial Controller of Goodfish Limited said “The funding we received from the ‘Let’s Grow Programme’ has allowed us to expand our range of machines and increase our headcount. Our expansion has been accelerated as a direct result of this fantastic programme run by Cannock Chase Council. The application process was quick and easy and the support we received from the Economic Regeneration Team was excellent.”
The ‘Let’s Grow Programme’ has to date successfully helped 10 businesses in Cannock Chase.
