Cannock Chase Council is delighted to announce that its Housing, Building Safety team has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award.
The team has been nominated for Safety and Compliance Team of the Year at the ASCP Awards 2026, hosted by the Association of Safety Compliance Professionals. The awards recognise teams that demonstrate outstanding achievements in collaboration, innovation, dedication to high standards, and a strong commitment to improving safety outcomes for residents.
This nomination highlights the exceptional work carried out by the Housing, Building Safety team, including:
• Successful collaboration on a team expansion project, with contributions from across the team
• Continuous improvement of processes that benefit not only the service but the wider organisation
• Strong perseverance in the face of challenging circumstances
• Consistently high performance against key performance indicators, ensuring residents remain safe in their homes
• A supportive and resilient team culture, particularly during difficult periods both professionally and personally

The awards ceremony will take place on 8 September, at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Newport, where the team will join other leading organisations from across the sector.
