This week’s budget announcement that Cannock Chase Council is to be allocated £20m from the Government’s Levelling Up Fund (LUF) programme has been positively received as `huge boost` to the Council’s ambitious plans to rejuvenate its Cannock town centre.

Cannock Chase Council has revised its discretionary Additional Restrictions Grant policy (ARG) and launched this week its NEW Covid Recovery Grant.

The Council received an allocation of European Regional Development Fund monies of £179,245 from the Government through the Re-opening the High Streets Safety Fund (RHSSF) and Welcome Back Fund (WBF).

The Council’s Cabinet have agreed to retain the Council’s membership of the Destination Management Partnership (DMP) / Destination Staffordshire until March 2024.

In a record-breaking year for the Green Flag Award, as the scheme marks its Silver Jubilee, six parks and green spaces in Cannock Chase are some of 2127 celebrating success.

A Cannock woman has been prosecuted for failing to keep a dog on a lead after it attacked another dog.

We were delighted to attend the launch of the new Digital Skills Academy last week, which was officially opened by Amanda Milling MP.

The Digital Skills Centre based at Cannock College will provide access to a range of courses, designed to boost digital skills.

We saw first hand how the new facility will help boost the digital skills of residents and support local employers.

Cannock Chase Council have successfully prosecuted a Cannock man for a fly tipping.

The Council in collaboration with the Forest of Mercia are creating an urban woodland on Bradbury Lane in Hednesford.
