Over 350 jobseekers flocked to the jobs fair held at Cannock Chase Council’s Civic Centre in Cannock last month.
Around 40 exhibitors and local organisations attended the event with job and apprenticeship opportunities including Jaguar Landrover and Gestamp.
As well as organisations with vacancies, there were experts on hand to give information and advice on interview techniques and CV writing.
Councillor Gordon Alcott, Portfolio Leader for Economic Development and Planning said “The jobs fair was a resounding success; the room was bursting at the seams with over 350 people looking for job opportunities, help and advice.
We have received a lot of positive feedback with 81% of people attending saying it was a useful event and found it beneficial to talk to employers face to face.
I would like to thank the hard work of Officers and our partners Job Centre Plus, Staffordshire County Council and Chase Chamber of Commerce in making this event such a success.”
