A report to Cannock Council’s Cabinet highlights the continued success of the performance of Inspiring healthy lifestyles (formerly WLCT), who provide the Council’s leisure services.
The annual report for 2015-16 highlights that Inspiring healthy lifestyles have met or exceeded performance in 80% of its targets, with attendances and visits for that period in excess of 942,000.
Visitors at both Chase and Rugeley leisure centres have increased, with 808,689 visits made during 2015-16 compared to 783,811 in the previous year.
Both memberships and concessionary card holders have increased by 10% during the last year.
Cannock Park Golf Course has had a consistent year with 23,377 rounds of golf being played during 2015-16. Foot golf will be introduced 2016-17, with a soft launch already underway.
The Arts and Sports Development team continue to provide a valuable service to residents in the community.
There have been a number of successful events at the Museum of Cannock Chase these include; A Literary Landscape, Tolkein Exhibition, Star Wars Event and Woodland Murder Mystery.
Inspiring healthy lifestyles has also invested £148k into Chase and Rugeley leisure centres on re-decorations, boiler repairs and changing room refurbishment.

Inspiring healthy lifestyles strive for continuous improvement in a very competitive market, I am delighted that they have met or exceeded 80% of their targets.”
