Cannock Chase Council is delighted to announce that the Tuesday street market in Cannock Town Centre will return on Tuesday 1 September.
E G Skett & Co, the street market operator trialled a Tuesday street market last year. The success of this market means that Cannock’s regular street market will now take place on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9am until 4pm.
Councillor Gordon Alcott, Portfolio Leader for Town Centre Regeneration said “Sketts street market has been running successfully in the town centre for the last 5 years. I am pleased that they are coming back to run a market on Tuesdays as well as Fridays, they have a good variety of stalls which increases the footfall in the town centre.”
Stalls next Tuesday will include craft, gardening equipment/plants, bakery, bedding, catering stall plus much more.
Sketts were appointed as the new street operator in October 2015 and have successfully built up a quality and varied market that increases the footfall into the town centre.
