Cannock Chase Council is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of its parks team, volunteers, and community groups following a successful showing at the final Heart of England in Bloom RHS Awards ceremony.
Among the highlights were:
•    Cannock Stadium, entered by the Friends Group under the In Your Neighbourhood category, received the highest honour of ‘Outstanding’.
•    Elmore Park, Ravenhill Park, and Hednesford Park all achieved Gold in the Parks category.
•    Cannock Park was awarded Silver Gilt, while Heath Hayes Park earned a Silver award.
These awards are a testament to the dedication and hard work of our parks team, park keepers, and the many volunteers who give their time and energy to maintain and enhance our green spaces.
Heart of England in Bloom is part of Britain’s nationwide gardening competition, inspiring cities, towns, and villages to improve their local environments through horticultural excellence, environmental responsibility, and community involvement.
Councillor Garry Samuels, Portfolio Leader for Parks, Culture and Heritage said: “We couldn’t achieve these awards without the commitment from our local communities. It’s important that their contribution towards our beautiful parks is recognised and celebrated. These awards reflect the pride and passion our residents have for their local environment.
“The Council extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in achieving these awards.”
