Residents are invited to share their views on the proposed design for the new play area.
Following extensive feedback from the initial consultation phase last year, a proposed design has been developed to modernise and enhance the play facilities at Cannock Park. The plan for the redevelopment includes new, inclusive play equipment that caters to a range of ages and abilities, improved zip wire and swings, and an overall revamp of the play space to create a vibrant and welcoming environment for all.
This consultation is a key step in ensuring the redevelopment meets the needs of the local community. Residents can take part by completing a short survey online at www.cannockchasedc.gov.uk/newparks or by attending a drop-in session on Tuesday, 18 February, 10.30am – 12.30pm or Saturday, 22 February, 11am – 4pm in Cannock Park. Officers will be on site to share the plans and answer any questions.
Councillor John Preece, Deputy Leader and Portfolio Leader for Parks, Culture and Heritage, said: “We are committed to improving local facilities and ensuring that our parks provide engaging, safe, and accessible spaces for our community. The new play area at Cannock Park will be a fantastic asset, and we encourage residents to take part in this consultation and share their feedback on the proposed design. Your input is invaluable in making this project a success.”
The consultation will remain open until Sunday 9 March 2025 and all feedback will be carefully considered before finalising the plans.
