This half term, Elmore Park has unveiled its newly improved Tree Trail, offering a unique and engaging outdoor experience for all ages. The trail features 21 QR codes placed along the route, providing fascinating information about 20 different species of trees found in the park.
Not only can visitors learn about the importance of trees for our environment and wellbeing, but there’s also an exciting reward! Those who scan all 21 QR codes can claim a FREE colouring book, perfect for children and families.
The enhanced trail is part of the Cannock Chase Can programme, which promotes activities that support health and wellbeing. Spending time outdoors and engaging with nature has been proven to reduce stress, improve mood, and encourage physical activity - all key to maintaining good mental health.
Trees play a vital role in sustaining life on Earth. They absorb carbon dioxide, provide oxygen, improve air quality, and offer habitats for wildlife. By exploring the trail, visitors can deepen their appreciation for these green giants and the many ways they benefit our planet.
