The Council has been working to improve the way its Housing Customers access Housing information online. As part of an IT upgrade programme we will be replacing the current Housing Self Serve portal with a new improved Housing Online portal. In order to carry out this work it will mean the Housing Self Serve portal will not be available for a short period.
Alternative arrangements have been made until the new service is available. Information on the arrangements are set out below:
From Thursday 8 October 2020 you will no longer be able to access ‘Housing Self Serve’.
The ‘Housing Online portal will not be available until Tuesday 20 October 2020.
During the period Thursday 8 – Tuesday 20 October you will not be able to
- access your Rent Account Statement – for rent balance enquiries please contact 01543 462621. Please quote your rent account payment number for a prompt response.
- submit a new Housing Application – if you are homeless or threatened with homelessness please email housingoptions@cannockchasedc.gov.uk or contact 01543 462621

Choice Based Lettings
If you have a housing application registered to see properties advertised, please click on the following link www.cannockchasedc.gov.uk/residents/housing/housing-allocations/how-apply-council-housing
To express an interest in properties advertised, please email allocations@cannockchasedc.gov.uk or contact Cannock Chase Council on 01543 462621 to speak to a Housing Adviser who will be happy to assist you in expressing an interest in the property of your choice.

Existing customers
- Current Tenants or Applicants who have already completed a Housing application will need a Housing Online account to express an interest in a property
- You will need to -register to access Housing Online Services. Active customers will also receive a letter explaining how to.
