Chase Leisure Centre starts the new year off with a new look for the gym!

The newly refurbished gym, which opened 15th January, is the latest in the line of redevelopments for Chase Leisure Centre and features the arrival of several pieces of Technogym equipment including Skillmill, Skillrow, Skillbike and Skillrun products as well as new flooring.

The £1 million re-development of Chase Leisure centre which began in late autumn has already seen an upgrade for the studios, with new audio and visual equipment and hosts new Les Mills Virtual and live classes.

March will see the opening of a brand-new cycle studio which, along-side other classes, will host Les Mill The Trip, a fully immersive experience which combines 40-minute, multi-peak cycling workout.   New functional spaces will also be available in place of the Indoor Bowling Green.

This latest investment from leisure provider Inspiring healthy lifestyles, which follows the Council’s multi-million-pound upgrade in 2012, represents a commitment to developing facilities that best meet the needs of residents and encourage them to be more active.

Peter Burt, managing director of Inspiring healthy lifestyles, said: “The re-development the gym sees further first-class leisure and fitness technology coming to Chase Leisure Centre. We look forward to the introduction of further developments in the coming months with unique products such as ‘The Trip’ cycling programme. This work is indicative of our ambitions to innovate in order to best serve our customers and create leisure environments that help them live happy and healthy lives.”

Councillor Christine Mitchell, Portfolio Leader for Culture and Sport at Cannock Chase Council, said: “I am very excited to see the re-developments at Chase Leisure Centre taking shape.

“Residents of Cannock Chase will be able to benefit from up to date gym technology in the gym and studios with new kit and classes.”

Councillor Mitchell added: “One of our priorities at Cannock Chase Council is community wellbeing and these improved leisure facilities in the District provide residents with even more opportunities to have healthy and active lifestyles and assist us with our aim.”

As developments continue on the new functional spaces, disruption will be kept to a minimum and notice will be given of any changes to usual activity. All works are targeted to be completed in spring 2019.
