The new app provides information about healthy eating, physical activity, healthier lifestyle choices as well as how to budget, sleep and manage emotional wellbeing. This is presented as a Wellness Wheel, which captures all the themes to help you live a happy and healthy life.

It hosts a variety of wellness challenges which can be undertaken as an individual, group or family. To celebrate your success, users, will be given trophies and instant rewards which have been provided by local businesses.

Officers from the Council and IHL will be touring the District throughout February to speak to people and find out more about individuals wellness worries. The team will be visiting supermarkets, town centres, community venues and schools.

Councillor Valerie Jones, Portfolio Leader for Community Engagement, Health and Wellbeing said: “Cannock Chase Can will help you improve your health and wellbeing in a fun and friendly way.

“I would like to thank the local community for the support they have given throughout the development stages of this app. This feedback has helped to shape the final version of the app and its future potential.

In addition to the app’s official release, the Council is also continuing to call on inidividuals, local community groups, businesses and organisations to submit challenges and rewards. These will feature as ‘new’ content within the app for users to complete and achieve whilst progressing up their wellness wheel.

Challenges can be submitted in various formats including video, audio, step-by-step instructions and a web link. An online submission form with guidance packs are available to download from the Council’s website.
