An event is set to take place in Rugeley this November, where representatives from the Council and other agencies will be on hand to speak directly to residents.
The event will allow residents to meet with officers from the Council, as well as representatives from other agencies to discuss any issues they might have or ask for advice.
It will take place on Friday 19 November at Rugeley Community Centre on Burnthill Lane in Rugeley from 11:30-4:30pm.
Residents can speak directly to representatives from the following agencies:
- AON Tenant Insurance Services
- Cannock Chase Council’s Gas Team, Repairs and Rents Team
- Debt Advice (Changing Room)
- Help a Squaddie
- Humankind (HOPE Team) – Drug/Alcohol support
- MHA Communities
- Newly formed Springfield Residents Association
- Rugeley Foodbank
- Rugeley Police Team and also Police Recruitment Team for their current recruitment drive for Special Constables
- SCVYS – Family Support Advice
- Social Inclusion Unit (NHS)
- South Staffs Water – Highlighting the dangers of Bogus Officials
- Staffordshire Fire Community Safety Team
- Support Staffordshire
- Victim Support which will also promote the new ASB unit (called Harmony)
- Walsall College (Cannock Campus) – Promoting new courses for 2022
Councillor Adrienne Fitzgerald, Portfolio Leader for Housing, Heritage and Leisure said “I am delighted that this event is taking place in Rugeley. It will be great for residents from all over the District to speak directly to our officers and other agencies, if they have any questions or issues. Sometimes getting to speak to someone directly can be challenging, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. I would encourage anyone from the District to pop along and take advantage of this great opportunity.”
The event will take place in the sports hall and the centre’s coffee shop will be open for the duration.
