Hednesford Park’s pavilion is set to re- open in the next couple of weeks following an extensive renovation.
The pavilion has been re-modelled to feature a ground floor ice cream parlour, café and kiosk, community room, with balcony toilets and changing room facilities.
The downstairs ‘Parlour at the Pavilion’ is an ice cream parlour, sandwich shop and coffee bar, that will target families and serve an artisan fresh dairy ice cream menu, sandwiches, savouries, afternoon and cream teas, cakes and bakes.
The American milk bar themed parlour can seat up to 28 covers inside and has additional seating on the outside terrace; with the kiosk operating at peak times to speed up the service for park visitors.
The renovation work on the pavilion is part of the £2.2m Heritage Lottery Fund Grant received for the development of Hednesford Park in 2012.
Councillor Christine Mitchell, Portfolio Leader for Culture and Sport said “The pavilion renovation is nearing completion and will be a fantastic addition to the park, hopefully enriching the visitor expectation.
We are delighted that our leisure provider WLCE are operating the unique themed parlour, which will be open for business in the next couple of weeks.”
