Cannock Chase Council, in partnership with the Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire Growth Hub, are thrilled to announce the success of the recent Free Business Support Event held at the Aquarius Ballroom in Hednesford.
The event, which was funded by the UK Government and Cannock Chase Council’s Shared Prosperity Fund, saw a fantastic turnout of local businesses, all keen to explore growth strategies and seek guidance on boosting sustainability and development.
The morning brought together a diverse range of local businesses, from startups to more established enterprises, all eager to gain insights from the experts. Including direct advice on funding opportunities, government-backed initiatives, and practical steps to future-proof their businesses. Attendees enjoyed engaging presentations and had ample networking opportunities that fostered connections and collaboration.
Councillor Maureen Freeman, Portfolio Leader for Regeneration and High Streets, praised the turnout, saying, “We’re delighted to see such a strong commitment from our local business community. This event has not only provided essential tools and resources for our entrepreneurs but has also demonstrated the power of collaboration in driving forward the economic growth of Cannock Chase.”
Rachel Wood, Growth Hub Manager at Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire Growth Hub said: “It was fantastic to see so many business owners come together in Cannock to hear about the initiatives and programmes available to them. There was a real buzz in the room as people engaged with the various business support agencies in attendance. We’re keen to encourage entrepreneurs to get in touch and start plotting a growth curve for their business. Now is the right time!”
With numerous local businesses attending and benefiting from the guidance, the success of this event underscores the demand for accessible business support within the district.
