Appetite for triathlon in the UK continues to grow as close to 3,000 athletes are signed up to take on IRONMAN® 70.3® Staffordshire on 12 June 2022.



It’s just over six weeks until the seventh edition of IRONMAN 70.3 Staffordshire, and registration numbers are at an all-time high. Close to 3,000 athletes will take the chance to push their limits in a challenging 70.3-mile swim, bike, and run event on 12 June 2022.

Organising a Platinum Jubilee Party and need to apply for a street closure?

When organising your own street party, if your event requires a possible road closure you will need to seek permission by informing Staffordshire County Council. They don’t charge for road closures for residential street parties that do not affect a classified road, bus route or traffic sensitive route. Wimblebury Mount Wellbeing Trail

Children and families will be in for a treat when they visit the Wimblebury Mount Wellbeing Trail. Visitors will be able to dance, listen and sing whilst exploring the woods and meeting the woodland animals!



Over the last few months, Cannock Chase Council and Inspiring healthy lifestyles have been working closely with Heath Hayes and Wimblebury Parish Council to develop an interactive Wellbeing Trail at Cannel Mount (off John Street) as part of the Cannock Chase Can programme.

Queens Platinum Jubilee

Communities across Cannock Chase District are being encouraged to take part in the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations by hosting their own events. 



This year sees Her Majesty The Queen become the first British Monarch to reach the milestone of 70 years on the throne.  The end of May bank holiday has been moved and extended and will run from Thursday 2 to Sunday 5 June to provide opportunities for communities to come together to celebrate this historic milestone.
