The deadline to apply for a Voter Authority Certificate to use as photo ID for this election is 5pm on 23 April 2025.
Voting by Post
The deadline to apply to vote by post for this election is 5pm on 14 April 2025.
To apply to vote by post (if you are not already registered to do so), or to change an existing postal vote, you will need to complete a postal vote application online.
Postal Vote Dispatch Dates
Applications to vote by post that are processed before 18 March will be mailed out on or around 11 April.
Applications made between 18 March and the deadline of 5pm on 14 April will be mailed out on or around 22 April.
For all applications please take into account the Easter Holiday period - Good Friday is 18 April and Easter Monday is 21 April.
Existing postal voters who no longer want to vote by post and wish to vote in person instead must cancel their postal vote in writing by emailing electionsoffice@cannockchasedc.gov.uk before 5pm on Monday 14 April 2025.
Voting by Proxy
The deadline to appoint someone to vote at this election on your behalf as a proxy is 5pm on 23 April 2025.
To appoint someone as your proxy, you will need to complete a proxy vote application form online.
Existing proxy voters who no longer want to vote by proxy must cancel their proxy vote in writing by emailing electionsoffice@cannockchasedc.gov.uk before 5pm on Monday 14 April 2025.
