Cannock Chase Council offers a supportive environment for starting your business journey, supplying you with the tools, knowledge and ensuring you have a solid framework behind you to build a successful business.

There are huge amounts of information based over the web which can be overwhelming, so we will simplify this information for you and support you every step of the way.

Join our pre-start cohort to build your confidence and develop the skills you need to move your business idea forward. Delivered over four consecutive sessions, the programme is led by experienced business support officers who will guide you through each step.

The next cohort dates for our FREE workshops taking place at Stafford Borough Council, Civic Centre from 9am to 1pm are as follows:

Day 1: Setting the Foundations - Tuesday 3 November 2026
Day 2: Marketing, Sales and Customers - Tuesday 10 November 2026
Day 3: Basic Accountancy - Tuesday 17 November 2026
Day 4: Funding and Finance, Regulatory Licences / Compliance - Wednesday 25 November 2026
