How do I complete the review?

Please complete the on-line review form here 

You will receive an email acknowledgement upon successful submission of the review form – please keep this acknowledgement receipt in case of future queries. You will be given the option to log into the Cannock Chase Council Customer Portal, which will keep a copy of your online form on your account.  If registering for the first time the ‘Register now’ link can be found just below the ‘Login’ button. Alternatively the form can be completed without logging in by clicking the ‘Anonymous – will not receive any progress updates’.

The reason we conduct a Single Person Discount review

The local authority has a duty to ensure that any reductions to Council Tax bills are being correctly claimed and that we are made aware if a person’s circumstances have changed.  If you receive single person discount, a review form will be sent to you to accompany your annual Council Tax bill. 

What you need to know about the review

Failure to provide the requested information will result in your discount being cancelled and any awarded discount recovered. In addition, a £70 penalty will be charged to your account for failure to provide the information. Please also note that the declaration you make about your household status will be cross-referenced with other sources of information through credit reference agencies and where false information is provided your discount will be removed and a £70 penalty added to your account. 

How we use your personal information

The information that you provide will be used by Cannock Chase Council, as the data controller, to update your Council Tax account. We will only share your information, when necessary, with agencies involved in the administration of your Council Tax account, or where the law requires or allows us to.  For further information, please see
