- NEW - Get Involved: Help Us Shape Our Lettings Standard
-
We are launching an exciting new engagement project and are looking for tenants who would like to play an active role in helping us improve our homes and services.
We are recruiting a small group of tenants to work alongside our officers to review and scrutinise the Lettings Standard for our properties. This will include visiting empty (void) properties with staff to look at what we provide, identify what works well, and highlight any areas for improvement.
This is a fantastic opportunity to:- Influence how our homes are prepared and presented for incoming tenants.
- Share your lived experience to help shape future standards.
- Work alongside officers and learn more about the lettings process.
- Make a real difference to housing services in your community.
You don’t need any previous experience, just an interest in shaping our services and a willingness to take part in property visits and discussions.
If you’d like to express your interest in joining the group, please get in touch on the contact details below.Email: residentengagement@cannockchasedc.gov.uk

We look forward to hearing from you! - Let Us In – Keep Your Home Safe
-
Our Gas Safety Team is running a "Let Us In" campaign to help keep everyone safe and up to date with essential safety checks.
If you allow access on the first visit for your Gas Safety Check and Electrical Safety Check, you’ll automatically be entered into our monthly Prize Draw — that’s £25 for the gas check and £25 for the electrical check.
It’s a simple way to stay safe, avoid missed appointments, and be in with a chance to win.
Thank you for helping us keep your home safe.

The final report and minutes from all the panels meetings can be found on our Tenant and Leaseholder Review Panel webpage.
Please keep an eye on our website over the coming months, as we’ll be sharing updates on how these recommendations are put into action.
Your continued interest and involvement make a real difference to how we work together.
- Annual Housing Estate Inspections - Results
-
Estates across the District are walked once a year from April to October. Estates with the most problems have been marked red, fewer problems amber and the least problems rated green.
The results from the most recent inspections have now been published on our Annual Estate Inspections webpage. To find out more about your estate inspection, please contact the Neighbourhoods Team on 01543 462621 or by email: EMTeam@cannockchasedc.gov.uk.
- TSM Survey 2026
-
Housing Services carried out the Tenant Satisfaction Measures survey for tenants and leaseholders during February and March 2026.
It is important to understand how our tenants and leaseholders feel about the services we provide, to be sure we are delivering them in the way and to the standard that you want. This survey will also be used to calculate annual tenant satisfaction measures (for tenants only) which will be published in accordance with regulations set out by the Regulator of Social Housing.
Thank you to all those who completed a survey, your feedback is very important to us.
The data is currently being analysed and the consultant will produce a final report for us by the end of May 2026. We will publish the report and results here on this page once received. The results will also be published in a forthcoming Home newsletter and in the annual report towards the end of the year.If you would like any further details on the Tenant Satisfaction Measures survey, please contact the Service Improvement team on (01543) 462 621 or email serviceimprovements@cannockchasedc.gov.uk.

-
Thank you to everyone who responded, we managed to secure a response rate of 52%. We will bring you a summary of the results in Spring 2026. Ideally we want to know more about everyone in our homes. We will be including similar questions in our housing application process to gather information about new tenants, asking questions at tenancy audits of current tenants and undertaking the census survey again in three years time. Your information helps us to better shape our services to meet your needs.
- Gas Safety Tips
-
Gas Safety Tips for Council Tenants
- Annual check: All council homes receive a free annual gas safety check, carried out on our behalf by our contractor, Sure Maintenance. Tenants must allow access for this appointment to keep their home safe.
- Use registered engineers only: If you ever need gas work carried out, always make sure the engineer is Gas Safe registered. - See our Tenant Alterations Page for more information.
- Watch for warning signs: Yellow/orange flames, black marks on appliances, pilot lights that keep going out, or excessive condensation may mean something is wrong.
- Keep vents and flues clear: Never block them – they keep your appliances safe.
- Know the signs of CO poisoning: Headaches, dizziness, breathlessness, nausea, collapse, and loss of consciousness.
- Install and test a CO alarm: Regularly test your alarm to make sure it works and is marked to standard EN50291.
- NEVER DIY gas work: Always call a registered engineer if you suspect a problem.
Gas Safe Register is the official body for qualified gas engineers in the UK. Visit www.GasSafeRegister.co.uk to find out more.
