Housing Consultations

As part of keeping our tenants and residents at the centre of everything we do, this is a dedicated page for you to have your say and shape the services we deliver for you.

A consultation is a process where we ask for your views to help us make a decision on a specific topic.

We will consider what you tell us and use this, along with other information, to inform our policies and procedures, recommendations and decisions that could affect you.

If you have any additional comments on anything, please email residentengagement@cannockchasedc.gov.uk or telephone 01543 462621.

All current consultations are listed below.

Rent Increase 2026/27

For 2026/27, the Council is proposing to increase council housing rents by 4.8% from 6 April 2026. This compares to an increase of 2.7% in 2025/26.

Cannock Chase Council invites you to send in your views about the proposals, as the Council’s Cabinet will consider any views shared before deciding what rent increase is applied.

For further information and to view Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), please visit our Rent Increase 2026/27 webpage.

The consultation is now open and will close on 5th January 2025. You can submit your views by completing our short survey: Rent Increase 2026/27 Consultation Survey.
